After childhood in Levittown and college in Cincinnati, John’s first career as an engineer made it clear he was better with words and people than with numbers and things. John and his wife, Pamela, met and married in Colorado, lived in Arizona, then moved to southern California where they founded and, for decades, led a spiritual community and one of the most successful spa businesses in America.
They raised their family and traveled extensively, John as a public speaker and, recently, as a writer. John and Pamela have two grown children, two grandchildren, no more pets, and are happily empty-nesting near Lake Elsinore, California.

Hello John, my name is Lisa D. Worthy Jacobs. I am a avid reader, wife of Terry and mother of one terrific son Christopher; I am also the youngest daughter of Bradie (Brad) & Ivery Worythy. I traveled home to Milford DE this past weekend and Dad proudly shared with me your book and the story written about him – entitled “Brad” Dad was simply overjoyed to be included in your work! He smiled from ear to ear! While I do not remember your family, I grew up hearing stories of life on the Staton family homestead. I am so glad that my Dad had such a positive impact on your life and that you have such fond memories as him. My siblings and I know this to be true, that we could not have asked for a finer man to raise us. We are truly fortunate to have him in our lives.
